The Master degree in Physiotherapy was conceived and planned according to the core principles of the Bologna Process, in particular its conceptions of a learning process centered in the students’ needs, as well as the European Credit Transfer System, which enables the assessment of the student’s effort throughout the course. The curriculum aims to provide students with a deep knowledge of important domains of Physiotherapy, as well as other areas of knowledge that constitute its practice, such as functional sciences, morphological sciences, Biomechanics, Psychology, Physics, Biostatistics and Pharmacy. The first trimester of the course is common to the five existing fields of specialization; afterwards, students will be distributed by the same five fields. The second year will include an Internship and respective written Report, corresponding to a total of 30 credits.

Community Physiotherapy – developed to answer the needs of Physiotherapists who wish to gain/develop specific competences suitable to follow a career in health promotion.

Orthopedic Manual Physiotherapy – this cycle of studies was created to respond to the needs of Physiotherapists who wish to deepen specific skills adequate to interventions within patients with neuromuscular or skeletal dysfunctions, providing a conventional and comprehensive approach to manage pain and other neuromuscular and joint symptoms of the rachis and extremities.
